At Lakeview Stud we have a selection quality young competition horses and ponies as well as Retrained Racehorses available.

Our horses and ponies are hand picked for thier temperaments, brain and ability and are generally broken and produced here giving them the best possible start and all round education.

We pride ourselves in our ability to match a rider to a horse and just love to see the horses and ponies rise to the top in thier chosen discipline.


Lakeview sits on 32 acres overlooking Blagdon Lake and the Mendip Hills. It is close to Bristol, Cheddar and Weston super Mare and the Airport is only a few minutes away. And we also have Tynings Trekking Centre at Charterhouse a few miles away with with miles of off road riding on the Mendip Hills. Our Riding Retreats offer options group or single bookings which we'll try and tailor to your needs. You can bring your own horses or ride ours and we will provide advice, training and events to make your stay a great experience. Accommodation options include B&B at a local farm or camping here at Lakeview.

Amy Bourne BHSAI teaches to a large client base, including local pony clubs and competitors. Amy competes regularly at BSJA, BD & BE level - mainly on horses broken and produced by Lake View Stud.

Seamus Mackey
Seamus Mackey a former professional National Hunt Jockey has 30 years experience with racehorses including training point to pointers, breaking, schooling, sales prep and retraining. Seamus is well regarded and sought after for his ability to deal with horses with behavioural problems and putting horses that have developed issues back on the right track.
